Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I make a special trip from the Heights of Hood River twice a month to buy a fresh pie. The Marionberry Pie is a classic, and Strawberry Peach andthe Blueberry with the crispy top are also great. Wonderful jams, milkshakes and cones from home-made ice cream.
And then there's the wonderful staff!
A gem by the river!

Such a fun and welcoming store. We stopped in on our way to a day of wine tasting. We picked up several different jams and sauces to bring home to family as gifts. The staff were very nice and gave us tips and suggestions. Loved this experience. Oh and the little honey sticks were a HUGE hit with the kids. Can't wait to break into these jams (we kept a couple for ourselves).

We love this place. The pies are amazingly delicious! That have oodles of home made jams and mustard and an amazing Horseradish sauce. Always feel like I am living back in time when I visit. It’s a must see quaint country store when visiting beautiful Hood River!

The bumble berry pie as good but the craisen cookie was under cooked, unfortunately a bit on the raw side.
The place is worth a stop by as they have a bunch of other stuff like fantastic different types of jams.
So I would give it another try should I ever be in the area.

Their huckleberry milk shakes are the best we ever had. The jams are very good also.
We always stop there. Friendly people.

Took a chance and stopped at this off the beaten path establishment, was well rewarded for our efforts, so much so that we returned the following day also.
While small and charming, the experience is going to be with you for awhile. It was like stepping back in time for a few minutes, older type store, stocked with freshly made pies, pie fillings, colorful aprons & trivets, jams, jellies, and ice cream.
We bought a couple individual pieces of fruit pie, apple, strawberry for a snack later that night, which we ate in our motel room. It was so delicious we decided to return the next day and get some more.
They also offer specialty soaps, which my wife bought along with a cinnamon scone, while I opted for a cherry crumble slice of heaven. Others were there sitting outside, enjoying hand dipped ice cream cones, they too seemed to be stepping back to a relaxed pace full of flavor.

The drive here from Hood River was beautiful. We'd heard they sold sugar-free jellies/jams and stocked up. Lots of home-made, delicious items in an old-fashioned setting. Worth the stop.

We were here for labor day weekend and they were having a BBQ out at the Apple Valley Store. The BBQ, beans, and mulberry lemonade were all WONDERFUL and they had tons of outdoor seating in their gardens as well as a covered area and live music for the festivities. (they do have an Apple Valley BBQ location separately if they arent doing a cookout here btw)
The store itself also is full of tasty treats and gifts. They have a wonderful selection of local goods including candles, soaps, aprons, trivets, etc as well as 3 full walls of dips, salsas, and mustards with samples all along the way. You can also buy pieces or full pies, cookies or other sweets, and get some tillamook ice cream or a fruit shake.
As far as stops of the fruit loop, I thought this one had the biggest selection of items made locally and everything I had there (and I tried a lot) was GREAT!

We enjoyed our stop here on the fruit loop. A great variety of prepared spreads with yummy samples of most. Baked goods too, and delicious. Fun to wander around and taste the interesting blends.

Since I love little country stores, when I saw the sign for this place we decided to take a detour to it. Cute little store with a large selection of jams, jellies, etc. They also had bake goods, ice cream and coffee. Nice outdoor seating, to sit and enjoy your tasty treat. It was definitely worth the detour taken.
