We got lucky when we saw an article about these falls! It was a favorite of our trip to Oregon. It is a fairly short drive out of Florence to get up to Sweet Creek Road. The road from there is a little narrow and twisty but doable. There is a parking lot at the trail head with a restroom.... More

The USFS map shows a trail that connects Sweet Creek Falls Homestead to Beaver Creek Falls. The trail appears not to fully connect. The road is nicely paved to Sweet Creek Falls. Bathroom facilities are only offered at the Homestead Trailhead. If you prefer a smaller hike just to see the falls, go to the second trailhead parking lot just... More

An easy hike with a beautiful series of waterfalls along a pretty creek. Slight elevation changes, maintained trails without being too manicured. Classic Oregon rainforest.

This him gives you more bang for the buck than al,Ost any I have experienced. It is easy, it is a beautiful walking the woods and the variety of water features Sweet Creek provides will have you coming back and taking more pictures as if you were seeing it for the first time. A great find!

The trail is a bit off the main roads but is well worth the detour. Several accessible waterfalls on a well maintained trail. Count on 2-3 hours round trip at a leisurely pace. Several picnic worthy options along the way if you are so inclined.

Sweet Creek Falls is an easy out-and-back hike that follows Sweet Creek. It's a lovely hike, with multiple places to stop for photos or wade in the creek. To get there, (if heading east) turn right onto Sweet Creek just after the bridge out of Mapleton. Park at the first trailhead for a more scenic hike. Sturdy shoes or sneakers... More

I have been here repeatedly over the years. There is a parking area with a primitive toilet (there are signs waning about theft, but I have yet to have that problem here). The trail is wheel chair accessible for portions of the trail. The rest of the trail is nice with some benches. The trail runs a long Sweet Creeks... More

Look for the Swift Creek Road off Hwy 126 near Mapleton. The trailhead is 10 miles down the well paved, magnificently tree lined road. Waterfalls all along the way. Wildflowers, including tiger lilies were still out when we visited in early June. The trail is well marked, and relatively easy. Be careful going off trail and onto the rocks for... More

When the weather is fine, this is a little bit of heaven. Beautiful mountain stream with several waterfalls. Pack a lunch and enjoy some quality time with the family. Avoid parking crush on summer weekends.

Eleven miles up Sweet Creek Falls road you will find the trailhead of a very gentle trail about one mile in length past at least four waterfalls all of which deserve your camera lens! The accompanying old growth forest is chock full of Redwoods, Ponderosa and lush rain forest vegetation of every kind. Plan your hike mid-day or later to... More
