We had guests from NC, TN, and TX including two veterans. They had had three full days of wine tasting and were ready for something different. Everybody loved the museum and I had a good time as well even though we live in OR and had been to the museum a number of times previously.

I was never able to get over to see the Spruce Goose when it was near me many years ago in Southern California, and I only vaguely remember when it was moved to somewhere in Oregon. I was pleasantly surprised to learn the Evergreen Air Museum was close by when I was in the Willamette Valley for a wine tasting... More

This place is amazing!!! It has the Spruce Goose at it, which is the wooden flying boat that Howard Hughes built. This is so big that the entire bulging was built around it, amazing!! The entrance gives you a free guided tour, which was about 45 minutes long and walks you thru the whole budding, there are 2 buildings, one... More

We were having a family Thanksgiving week on the Oregon Coast and, due to rain, had a day to be away from the beach. We decided to go to this Museum we had passed by many times.. Wow! What a place! There are three different parts to the facility, plus the outdoor exhibits. Starting with the Aircraft display you can... More

We read about an air and space museum just outside Portland and since rain was forecasted for the whole day we decided to go, not expecting too much. But when we got there we were very pleasantly surprised! First of all, this place is home to the original Spoose Goose!! But that is not the only attraction, the do have... More

I came to see the Spruce Goose. So much more to see than that. I ended up spending about 4 hour going through everything. Very good air and space museum.

Decided to go visit after many years of driving by. Was not disappointed; airplanes, helicopters and all sorts of space stuff. Very cool indeed. Was not thrilled that after having to pay $27.00 pp to get in, then had to pay more money to see insided of some of the planes and over twice the admittance cost to see the... More

It is hard to describe the Spruce Goose, but words like "massive", and mesmerizing and an engineering miracle all come to mind. Something you should definitely see once in your lifetime. But that's not all...there is a large variety of historical planes, rich history, and even space travel to explore. I only wish we had more time to fit in... More

While the entrance fee is fairly expensive, you can understand why. It cost eight million to transport the Spruce Goose alone! All the planes, rockets, etc., cost a fair amount to acquire and maintain. The place is staffed mostly by volunteers who absolutely love their jobs, and it shows in the pride and knowledge they exhibit. We thoroughly enjoyed the guided... More
