Great stop at the Yaquina Lighthouse and associated area. The lighthouse is enough to see. However, we were there at low tide, so the tidal pool viewing was tremendous. Tons of anemone, sea urchins, and other tidal dwellers to see. In addition, behind the lighthouse...More

Well worth the time and effort. Home well preserved and furnished nicely with antiques. Take a moment and visit the memorial for those lost at sea and to tour the grounds.

beautiful lighthouse and surrounding beach and hiking trails. We saw gray whales, sea lions, peregrine falcons, common murres and cormorants. Largest lighthouse on the Oregon coast. Worth the $7 park fee.

This lighthouse was only used for three years, but it has been well maintained. The house contains a free museum about the lighthouse and the rooms are decorated to look like they would have done when the lighthouse was functioning. You can't go up in...More

This place is more of a park then a landmark. Takes 10 minutes to see. Does give great views of bay and bridge but after going to the other town lighthouse this is a distant 2nd

The views are spectacular and getting to the lighthouse is easy. It is a short walk to the lighthouse from the parking lot but tours are only available from 11-4. As you can see the house where the light keeper lived needs a lot of...More

This is a special spot on a truly wonderful coastline. The lighthouse is locked but still provides a good landmark. What makes this place special is the choice of white beaches or a black beach, rock outcroppings with seabird colonies, and consistent year-round gray whale...More

The Yaquina Bay Lighthouse is located very near to the Yaquina Bay Bridge and the Oregon State Aquarium. Take care not to confuse it with the Yaquina Head Lighthouse which is on the north side of Newport which apparently some reviewers have done. We visited...More

Well-done Victorian period furnishings, outstanding view of the Yaquina Bay entrance, lower-level small theater room and gift shop, all combine to make this a worthwhile stop and worth all the steps and uphill pathway to get to it

It says open daily on their web site but it would be hard to believe that it is open in Christmas. It appears it would be open during the rest of break.
