This is a great beach protected from the north wind by Yaquina Head. It is not too widely known but is getting there as evidenced by the new parking lot at the top of the trail. To get to the beach you walk down Lucky Gap trail which is at NW 149th St and NW Woody Way just off Hwy... More

We spent several hours on this beach just combing for things that wash up. It was so amazing, the views are spectacular. You want to dress warm or go when it is warmer. Sunset is stunning here and if you are lucky you will find an agate or two.

Our daughter ran ahead and looked for whole sand dollars and we just ambled down by the beach . It was a gorgeous sunset. It is the beach in Oregon at its best.

Agate Beach is a nice beach with lots of sand, but we didn't see much in the way of agates. Great place for kids to play in the sand. There is a park area across the road from the beach that was pretty nice and seemed to have some good picnic spots.

This way my favorite place to go in Newport. This and SealRock. If you are looking for a Sandy beach this is the one to go to!

This was my first visit to an Oregon beach. Loved it. Wish they had a better walkway to the beach though we all got our shoes wet.

We stayed for 7 days, was very lovely and we did find some Agates! Though not as many as other local beach spots but I'm sure that's because everyone comes here to find em.

I think this beach must be pretty picked over from agate hunters by now. We walked around for 45-60 minutes with no luck. It was also very windy there with sand blowing into our eyes.
