I walked every trail, read every sign, took lots of pictures, and had a lengthy conversation with a random stranger all in 56 minutes. It is worth the stop. If the museum was open, additional time would need to be alloted. Trails are exceptionally well...More

This Museum is a slice of the History of this area one should NOT MISS! Great Museum, and the hiking trails offer spectacular views!

Interesting stop if you enjoy maritime history. The host were very friendly and informative. Walking trails around the grounds offer great views of the Pacific Ocean

Very informative volunteers. Great pictures and information along with artifacts preserved. Two floors. Free entry and parking. Trails leading to ocean views. Refurbished life boat outside of museum.

Very nice museum with so much history of Port Orford and the life boat station from the early to mid 1900's. Lots of hands-on for kids, beautifully manicured state park with gorgeous, easy, well-maintained hiking trails

Docent was friendly and loved to share information about this museum. This museum is free. You will learn the stories of the Coast Guardsmen and how this station once operated. There is a display of a lifeboat. There are trails that offer awesome ocean views...More

Enthusiastic and knowledgeable docents make this a must. Lots of information about WW2. Great true story about a Japanese submarine attacking the coast by launching an airplane by catapult and setting a fire inland! Save some time and follow some of the trails to see...More
