So cool

What an amazingly huge bookstore! It's mind blowing how big it is. We spent over an hour there and could have stayed longer. Neat experience.

If you like books then Powell's city of books simply cannot be missed. Several stories high, with a built in parking garage that can be exciting to navigate, Powell's takes up an entire city block. You'll need a MSI to navigate through the various areas. Once you've found your book, relax and enjoy a cup of coffee in the coffee... More

Under no circumstances am I allowed to go into this bookstore without a chaperone-I have no self control and I simply cannot afford the plethora of books that I would no doubt be trying to walk out of there with.

Powell's is worthy of its excellent reputation. They seem to have everything you could ever want and the store is well organized for helping yourself, but there are good staff on hand to help if you need it! I love the parking garage next door!

I have to go here every time I go to Portland. They have so many books I never knew existed or I needed to read. Even if you can't afford or have the room to buy a lot of books, it's good to see what all is out there and take notes of those you want to read or buy... More
