I brought my sister to the museum for our annual art extravaganza. She really enjoyed the time there. There was a balanced collection for every art lover in there. Some Impressionism for me and some Baroque for her. The staff was nice and answered some...More

I really enjoyed spending a rainy afternoon here. It's not so big as to be overwhelming, and you can take your time and see everything. The pieces look as though they were carefully chosen, or maybe it is just that I enjoyed all the exhibits...More

The collection is wide ranging, beautifully displayed, spacious, light and generally a pleasure to visit. The current exhibit of John Yeon is fascinating.

The Museum is spread over two adjoining buildings and includes some excellent works. We were particularly impressed by the John Yeon display relating to the Shire Project. The contemporary exhibits varied in quality but gave much food for thought. However, whilst well displayed, the galleries...More

Well worth checking out. Multi levels and so much to see. Some weird modern stuff and also so many classics and beautiful things as well across the spectrum. Price is very reasonable too and staff low key and friendly. Which is pretty much Portland I...More

Large building set up in gallery style. Hated the jumping dude on the TVs, loved CS Price's works. My wife is an impressionist fan so she got to see a few works she had not seen before. There is an Indigenous At section that is...More

I went during the Andy Warhol exhibit and was blown away! I didn't realize how large the PDX Art Museum was and that they would have all of his work on display. They had an interactive screen printing exhibit of local artists as well, which...More

Very nice museum near a pretty park in downtown Portland. Enjoyed some of the rooms and works but hated others. On the upper level there are 2 small TVs showing some dumb clown-type person jumping up and down and making annoying noises. On the same...More

The Portland Art Museum offers a wonderfully diverse collection of work in its two buildings. One of the things that impressed me most was its extensive display of photography. The museum sits in a beautiful part of town with lovely walkways lined with trees and...More
