The gardens are great. Bonsai panky over 200 years old!. Only problem is that it is a popular place which kind of wrecks the calm Japanese garden thing.

We had been here a few times before but it had been some time. They have added some new buildings and designs. It is still a very peaceful place to walk through and enjoy nature and the craftsman work that has gone into the design...More

Worth the price of admission. Beautifully manicured gardens with many relaxing spaces. Comparable to something you find in Japan. Also great small shops with nice souvenirs.

A very nice Japanese garden. A little strenuous for older people or those with limited mobility. Very crowded koi pond, but the rest was amazing.

We had a lovely afternoon wandering the gardens. It was a little crowded, but wasn't too hard to separate from the crowds.

This Is a nice retreat. Much to see and lots of walking. Just didn’t appreciate the cost to get in for a Japanese Garden.

Even through we had only 2 short days in Portland, the Japanese Gardens and neighboring Rose Gardens were a highlight. Easy to get to on the train and free shuttle, this is a must see location.
