We haven't been in a few years and went to show a family member who was visiting. $75 for five to visit with parking. While the museum does have some cool things to see and is educational for many, my teens and the three adults were quickly bored. Even when not extremely busy, kids run to "play" with every available... More

It is a wonderful trip to a historic Portland home with great views of the city. Nearby the International Rose Garden, so include both on the visit.

We visited the Pittock Mansion in November after they'd decorated the mansion with their Christmas decorations. Each room had a different theme with beautiful ornate decorations they only bring out during the Christmas season. It's a beautiful piece of Portland History that attracts both locals and visitors alike.

When we went they served tea in the carriage house on the side. It was delightful. The views are spectacular, bring a picnic.

You can drive up to the Pittock Mansion, or walk up from Burnside. Either way, you will be rewarded with a sweeping view. The house tour will take you back in time as you get a feel for Old Portland. Christmas is the best time to visit when they decorate each room with a set theme.

I'll admit it. I may have a tendency to be generous with my rating of Pittock Mansion. As a native Portlander, there's some nostalgia in this place for me. But what I can diplomatically say about Pittock mansion is the positive direction that the restoration has taken over the last thirty years. The integrity of the estate is probably demanding,... The Pittock Mansion is situated on a heavily-wooded hilltop overlooking downtown Portland. The view from the grounds is breathtaking, but strolling about the grounds and touring the house takes you back in time to when Portland was a lumberman's town; it provides a glimpse of how the elite lived one hundred years ago. Be sure to check out the garden... More

Fascinating place, incredible views of Portland, amazing architecture and furnishings. It was like walking back in time with a history lesson. Great place to visit for history or architecture buffs, probably not so much for families with young kids. Fascinating original furnishings and fixtures, a must see for anyone restoring an older home or those who enjoyed Hearst Castle or... More
