This is a real pretty park with a lot of options for walking and hiking and even sunbathing when the weather is real good.

We pulled into A1 after dark at 830PM thinking lucky us...we have a spot! Oops we saw the reserved sign after setting up but we were still lucky to find A8 open. Very level pad with full hookups for $28. You can slightly hear I-84's traffic to the north and only one freight train has come by one the single... More

This review is a bit long- but wanted to give good information on our experience at this campground. When we arrived- there was a park ranger right there to greet us and check us in. She was very nice and it was quick & easy. I'm honestly not certain if they do that all the time though. This is a... More

If you want to avoid the busloads of crowds hiking up to the Falls, go very early in the morning. My friend and I were there on a Monday morning and by 11 AM, it was packed. It was uncomfortably packed. The hike up to the top of the falls is very steep and quite intense. it's also worth being... More

We were supposed to camp here but were running late and it was raining so we stayed in Portland and drove over in the morning to visit Multnomah Falls. We drove through the campground which looked nice, we were sorry we didn't get to stay there. This is a great park, very pretty and the winding, historic Hwy 30 runs... More

Ainsworth State Park is a nice campground and close to waterfalls, hiking trails, fishing, interesting cities to visit and cool bridges to cross and of course beautiful views of the Columbia Gorge. I am in my 40 foot Motorcoach and stayed in B-8. Yes it was tight driving through the two loops but I fit fine without scrapping the paint... More

We came up the gorge from Portland to view the local waterfalls which were spectacular! Hikers, this is paradise for you. We did have some confusion when we arrived and chose a spot that was marked reserved and hooked up. All sites were marked that way, it was late in the day (after dark), and we figured we were safe... Glad to find this and to find a spot available! Full hookups for $24! There is a train very close but I love trains so it didn't bother me;) great location in the middle of everything wonderful! Take the scenic highway and stop everywhere!!! Lots of falls and hikes...several falls just off the road...you don't even have to get out... More

I was in the area just to see the waterfalls and a couple hikes. This park has campgrounds, day use area, and access to hiking trails.

The Hike up to the top of the falls is a fairly easy one. Lots of switchbacks and paved surface make for a nice hike.
