Love this area

I spent several weeks off and on in Portland over the last year. This area is one of my favorites: great restaurants, bars, shopping, and people watching. Highly recommend.

An easy walk from downtown (or take the MAX light rail) with many different restaurants, bars, breweries, Oregon-made stores, retail stores and the largest bookstore I have ever seen. Everyone in our family found something worth purchasing as a memento from Portland. My husband got excited about shopping in all the outdoors stores and the unique Keen garage.

There is a lot to see and do in the Pearl District. Definitely worth walking this district and checking it out. Shops, places to eat and drink.

The Pearl has an extraordinary collection and restaurants and unique shops, theatres, and best of all--Powell's Book Store!

There are some good places here, but they are way too many chain stores and restaurants. Like an outdoor shopping mall.

The Pearl District adjoins the Chinatown and Portland Union train station. In fact, it could be classified as downtown center of Portland. There are many local restaurants and places to explore and enjoy. It makes a good walk around enjoying the sights. I had the pleasure of enjoying great donuts at the Voodoo donuts shop and it had a long... More

We loved walking the Pearl and all of the neighborhood activity. Loved Fat Head's brewery and many small retailers.

As a lifelong Portland westside resident, I have watched the Pearl District from its earliest days with the Ecotrust Building (look it up). But my review suggests walking down 10th from Powell's Books and hitting the wonderful small parks. You need to walk them to appreciate them. Tanner Springs is a mini-ecosystem with a lily pond you access by a... More

We visited a few brewery in the Pearl District. The Rouge was my favorite. Staff was friendly and the drinks and appetizers were yummy.
