Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is one of the closest park in the city that you can actually go fishing in solitude...It feels like you are a hundred miles away from the civilization if you've set your fishing pole by the "slow river" area where catfish and multiple kinds of fish can be caught...Its almost guaranteed that you will turn into a fishing aficionado after you visit and cast your fishing pole in this park...Of course there is an area for picnic/playground (large group or small) and its perfect for a whole day weekend adventure...Late spring and the whole summer are the best times for this outdoor activity...Of course you can brave the elements during fall and winter if you are one of the hard cores...

Stroll the concrete path to the confluence point of the Columbia and Willamette rivers. Stay out of the water, as the current's are vicious. Bring a light lunch and watch huge cargo ships come into Portland and Vancouver from the ocean. There's even a beach, when the tides are low.

We love Kelley Point Park! We walk with the dog there. There are a lot of places to walk, see the two rivers (the Willamette and the Columbia come together on the point), throw the ball for the dog, and see the big cargo ships!
Most of the year, the park is our go-to doggie destination -- It never feels crowded! Only on really hot days, when people are dying to get beach time, is the park really loaded. I wouldn't recommend it on those kind of days. But we use Kelley Point in the winter, spring, summer and fall... rain and snow. There are lots of picnic tables, wide open space, and beach access to the two rivers. I don't recommend swimming, as people DO drown there. It's not safe with the currents and the debris in the water. But for getting the dog wet and hanging out, it's awesome!

Hard to believe Kelley Point Park is surround by other parks. Industrial parks. The main draw for me at this park is walking out to the point where the 2 big rivers meet. The Willamette and Columbia. Made a nice loop walk out of it. After leaving the river part on the north end, the rest of the loop is a woods walk with lots of black cottonwoods ending in the south end of the park. Have to walk the road a bit to end the loop. The park does have some nice picnic spots. Some with river views and the rest in a nice grassy area. Didn't make a day out of it, but one easily could. Well worth the effort to visit.

This park is a very quiet and beautiful place to visit. Though there were many cars parked in the area, we ran into very few people. The beach was very nice and had a spectacular view of the Columbia and Williamette rivers. It was really cool to see the cargo vessels coming in!
Wonderful place to walk off dinner!

Under-appreciated and often pretty empty, this lovely park has good river views and walking trails. Beach access (although signs say to not go into the water) and picnic areas. Worth the short drive to get there!

Not crowded at all. Lots of paved and unpaved walking areas. Open grassy areas and nice viewpoints of the rivers. Sandy areas were also clean. A nice park that I would recommend anyone visit.

We loved it here!! No crowds maybe a few other family. Our dog met so many new friends where she got to swim and play with them. Lots of fun for dogs and humans. Although the sign says no swimming it is perfectly fine. The sign doesn't want you to swim to far and get hit by a big container ship. A wonderful place to swim and relax.

Today we looked for the confluence where the Willamette River joins the Columbia River. Alas, we found run down Kelley Point Park surrounded by Portland industrial ports and warehouses. Parking lots were trash filled, neglected, covered in cottonwood fuzz. We couldn't see the water, and it looked too sketchy to leave the car to explore.
