Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Washington High School in SE Portland converted into a Patio restaurant, Roof Top Bar, a Lounge, an Events Place...so many places to enjoy great times together. Our Roof Deck visit was wonderful..cold draughts, drinks, small eats ( we ordered onion rings and fries ) and spectacular views of Portland. Staff very courteous, cheerful and friendly. I will certainly go back soon!

Saw Pat Methany here. It is a small venue. Some seats in the balcony closer to the stage may be difficult to see the whole stage. Drinks are sold in the bar on the first floor. I think they had some snack options too. The seats were old wooden seats from when the facility was used as a high school. Could be a problem for some backs.

This location sports several bars and restaurants, as well as being walking distance from a number of gourmet restaurants in the neighborhood. It is an older building, but for both lectures and concerts; the seats are so close, you can't go wrong. As this was originally a school district lecture hall, some of the the seats are a bit 'firm', but those a bit further back are soft and fluffy. Ample parking right outside.

This venue is the perfect size to watch a concert. No made seats. The atmosphere was electric but somewhat intimate due to now having thousands of seats. Would absolutely go again. There is bar and food service available so drinkers can have food and beverage in their seats

This is an old high school in the 1920's that was closed down and then totally refurbished . The concert area seats approx 500 people ? Upstairs and downstairs in the old elegant auditorium . There are at least 2 bars open at all times ! 2 good sized bars are downstairs, and in good weather there is an upstairs bar with tables and chairs , with views of the city . They do serve pub food too. Lots of parking in the lot off 14th st , or on the streets. Get there early for best parking and best seats if the gig is gen. admission. Traffic can be a snarl in that area , so plan ahead. Very good sound system . Well run by a courteous staff . I think its a great venue .

It's pretty well organized and you don't get snarled in long lines outside in the rain waiting for doors. There's a lot of good food on offer that you can bring to the venue - the only real complaint I have is that they don't really provide practical "to go" containers for the food you get downstairs and then take upstairs to the venue. You just sort of have to awkwardly carry a plate of food up several flights of stairs to your seat. I'm constantly spilling chips on the floor trying to arrange everything.

Other things: The sound quality is good. The seats are small and painful, but then again this used to be a high school, so no surprise. I love that they have a sign on the bathroom door admonishing people to mind their own business about trans folx using the restroom that matches their identity.

Saw Squeeze here a couple weeks ago. It is a renovated and repurposed city high school. The venue was very nice with good views no matter where you sat. Two bars help to ensure you won't miss much if you need to slip out and get a drink between songs. Very new looking and nicely remodeled. I will gladly look for more shows playing here.

This is an event venue in a converted old Portland high school. "Converted" doesn't cover it. I came here for a music venue, arrived early, and was welcomed in to a small bar with a terrific array of on-tap beers. I walked through the place, enjoying the funky but classy design upgrades and ended taking the elevator up to the Roof Bar. The Roof was teeming with activity but never felt stressed or overcrowded. You could eat, drink or just enjoy at one of the many benches and tables. Really chill. OH! The band was terrific (Josh Ritter) and I was surrounded by likable, attractive and chill 40-somethings. A GREAT venue -- large enough to attract talent, but small enough to see the singers' lips move. (I still had a few sips of beer to enjoy -- and no hassle taking it in.) One of the most enjoyable place + music venues I've ever visited. A real Portland vibe -- in a good way.

This venue space is a renovated high school with several restaurants on site, a concert / performance space and a rooftop bar that serves drinks and food with awesome views of the city. There is also a nice dog park adjacent. Worth a visit for the rooftop bar!!

Visiting family in the area and went to the Revolution Hall to see the Zombies. Great concert venue. Had seats in the upper level. The facility was well suited for that type of concert. We were able to see and hear the entire concert..We also went up to the rooftop bar and had some appetizers and a little something to drink. Really a very nice facility and we would return.
