We have a son that is a firefighter and he has volunteered to do forest fires. This place had a special meaning for us. IT was just a park with the monument but it was well done.

Very well done plaques that gives back ground of each individual and an etched likeness of each person. Also has a statue honoring the fallen heroes!

Next to a beautiful park, lots of benches, creek with walking path, right in town but doesn't feel like it. It was very peaceful there.

Ok full discloser I went to high school with a man that is memorialized here so it means a lot to me. These men and women gave their lives to stop a fire and save our trees that is a high price to pay.
