We stayed in the Jasper Point Campground.... first come first serve even in summer..... rare for a campground on the water! Kinda risky though because it is a ways out and you might risk not get a spot considering there are only 28 spots in...More

Just like any other Reservoir. I live in NW Oregon so this was no big deal to visit. Find a lake closer and you'll be glad you did.

We really enjoyed our RV spot near the lake, and our kids loved watching the geese and little chipmunks running around. The showers and bathrooms were clean, and they had firewood available (5$ a bundle). The hosts were so friendly and helpful, and we were...More

This resivor is a great place to spend the day or stay for a few days. The state park is beautiful; cabins, tents and rv’s. Nice grounds and a enjoyable place for all your water toys.

We are wanting to camp and kayak here this coming summer so we came out and scouted around. What a beautiful drive through the canyon and along the crooked river. Saw lots of camping and day use areas. Reservoir is large with several places to...More

Big reservoir, not many people. Gets a bit windy by the dam in the afternoon. Good size bass and trout, lots of crappie witch is my favorite to catch. Bring a kayak or boat for a great experience at the lake.

This state park, like so many other Oregon State Parks, was so clean and well kept. The individual hot showers were private and free. The bathroom and sites were in pristine condition. The sites were large, far apart and the fire pits were located a...More

Stunning scenery. Boating. Fishing. Cabins and traditional tent/rv camping. Hiking. Close to a variety of outdoor activities. This state park has it all, but one major distraction lowered the rating: obnoxious campers two sites away from our cabin. Their goings on began an 8 a.m....More

The hills are alive in Prineville Reservoir State Park! Brink your hiking shoes because it's very hilly. We enjoyed our stay but didn't know what to expect because I couldn't find any pictures of the cabins. The park has 5 cabins in total. 3 are...More

Not that I saw. There isn't a lot of commercial businesses at the reservoir. It's more open and natural with a few homes dotted on the sides, a boat ramp and a few picnic areas.
