A short interpretive trail with a series of view points. A good place to take a stroll after a meal at the nearby Becky's Cafe.

Easy little walk with great informational/educational signage. Beautiful & awe inspiring views! The plugged lava tubes were really neat to see, too.

We happened by this driving from Medford on our way to the Redwoods. We had no idea what it was, we stopped before the gorge where the rock is lava like with big holes and it looked interesting. Got out and walked on it (the...More

Paved trails with overlooks provide views of a mighty gash in the earth through which the Rogue River plunges. An easy walk from Union Creek Resort and Beckie's but for a transient traveller there is a large parking lot within a few yards of the...More

My friend and I stopped at the gorge on the way back from Crater Lake. It is a gorgeous area, also did a little rock hounding on the way back down the trail. Found lava rock, pumice, and a couple small pieces of quartz!

The short trail (1100 ft) is well signed with lovely informative texts and pics of various natural issues on the trail.

Boy, are we glad we got this recommendation. Can't say we were expecting much but had a fabulous morning stroll here. There was ice, making it fairly dangerous but GORGEous!

We stopped here on the way to Crater Lake from Grants Pass. It is fairly easy to walk along the wooden path and get incredible views of the river rushing through the gorge! And make sure you also stop at the Natural Bridge nearby.

Take a minute and stretch your legs. A good look at the river and the swift river rock formations. You will be glad you stopped. Take an easy walk along the river.
