What a great place to have a picnic, play tennis, and jog. There is an upper level and a lower level - both with parking. You feel like you are out in the country, when, in fact, you are almost in downtown Salem.

Love walking through this huge park. You can get a nice, long walk by going all around the park and through it. Lots of access points with paved walkways, bathrooms, baseball diamond, a few tennis courts with lights, woodsy area, art barn, children's play area and lots of grassy areas and plenty of shade trees.

Anytime of the year is a pleasure to wander through this park. The gardens are so nicely kept up. Take a tour of the house too.

Some people go to the park just to jog but it has much more to offer. Two full play areas for children, flowers most of the year, an art gallery, and a base ball diamond. I primarily go to the park to take pictures. In the spring there is tulips, columbine, wisteria, and other early flowers. The purple wisteria vines... More

A beautifully restored home on 40 acres in the middle of Salem. The grounds include a rose garden on other wonderful features.

Ringed by a running trail with a kids playground and and art store in the middle, it is a wonderful green space.

Within the city of Salem is a beautiful park with great history. I like the open meadow-like area west side of the park for just soaking up the sun. The beautiful trees provide nice setting as you walk along the paved paths, with picnic tables placed conveniently to the parking area on the south side of the park. You can... More

This is one our favorite parks for strolling because it offers several features. It is large and wooded, primarily with oak trees. It has both paved and barked pathways allowing one to walk a mile or two without repeating the same course. It's attractions include the Bush House Museum and art gallery, the extensive rose gardens, a small greenhouse surrounded... More
