Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Enjoyable site. The campus is located right next to the state capitol. The campus is not super large, but it is well harmonized with the city. The architecture was admirable and gardening was well maintained.

We walked here from the state capitol across the street. It’s a wonderful campus, extremely pretty, and unique in its positioning of six giant sequoias directly in front.

This university is one of the oldest west of the Mississippi. The buildings are mostly made of brick and are historic in nature. Wandering around the campus is peaceful. The Hallie Ford Museum of Art is on campus.

Willamette is a gem of a liberal arts university, with an exceptional law school. The grounds are immaculate; great place to take walks in center of town. Goudy Commons has exceptional food for college campus. Look online for variety of musical events, and speakers. Top Oregon Law School for career placement.

We came for Bearcat Days, what a beautiful campus, nice staff and very nice overall experience. Nice that it is right across the street from the state capital too.

During a visit to the State Capitol, walked a short distance to the University. Lovely campus with red brick buildings, gorgeous fall leaves, a stream full of ducks, and gardens. Definitely a pleasant place for a walk.

The Hallie Ford Art Museum is also on campus-it's on my list for my next visit to the area.

Sweet walkway along a pretty creek that runs through campus, very bucolic. Nice art museum across street from main campus, State Capitol right across the street and Bush park 2 blocks away, plus Amtrak station 1 block from campus.

This is not a part of the Oregon State Public University system. Willamette University is in the heart of Downtown Salem, just across the street from the beautiful, infamous Oregon State Capitol Building and it's grounds. As a note of interest, a son of well known comedy actor, Dick Van Dyke once attended the University School of Law during the late 1960's - early 70's. Students interested in Law or Political Science had a short walk across the street to the Capitol to listen to the Legislators while they were in session. With it's excellent standing, the University remains an ideal choice for those who enjoy the small college atmosphere while obtaining an excellent education. With it's proximity to the Capitol and it's grounds, parks and other recreational areas, it would be an excellent choice for many students when they take a break from studies.

This university campus is beautiful. They have a cafeteria that is open to the public. There is an onsite coffee shop, student union with a gift shop and postal center. Coffee shop offers free wifi. There is a creek that runs through the campus and through a garden. Very pretty backdrop for graduation pictures.
