Closed due to downed trees 3/8/17. We have hiked this from the Seaside side until a slide closed it last time. Steep at points and muddy as you would expect but easy to follow. We will try again in the summer.

We had a great hike on a beautiful March day, the weather had cleared which helped dry the trail out a bit. It had been a rainy week so it was a bit sloppy but still doable and enjoyable. The views more very nice and...More

Absolutely beautiful area even when the wind is blowing 40 knots and the rain is just a continuous downpour. We're going back in a few months, will update then as well as post some pics!

Definitely bring your hiking boots and waterproof gear for our NW weather. This trail is rated as moderate (by experts). We (2 adults -+ 2 kids) parked and launched from Southern Seaside - made it about a mile through rocky and puddled terrain (approx 750...More

The scenery is so incredibly beautiful along the Oregon coast, this is just a small sample of what you will see starting in Astoria all the way down Hwy 101. We had overcast skies on the day we were there, but still managed to get...More

I set out on the solo hike with very little information about distances. I knew it had a good climb. It was a rainy misty weekday and I only saw two groups of hikers. Since I was not sure of distances and I was by...More

This hike is not for the feint of heart! It is in one of the prettiest parks in Oregon. So worth the drive, but go on a sunny day. It is at the end of a long winding road and can be scary in the...More

I only went part way up, but the trees and flowers were so beautiful! I saw ferns of all different ages. The soil made my feet feel like they were walking on cushions. It was great to know that the forest has recovered from the...More

I didn't see any public transportation between Seaside and Cannon Beach. That's not to say that it doesn't exist. However, the state park road from the park entrance to Indian Beach trail head would be a long walk, even if... More

It takes at least 40 minutes just to hike from the Turnaround at Seaside to the Tillamook Trailhead. You'd be better off driving to the Indian Beach trailhead and hiking from there.
