This dam and locks were very impressive. We stayed on the Oregon side but you get a great view of the bridge that takes you to the Washington side of the Columbia River. Unfortunately they were not giving tours when we were there. Would have...More

Strong water flowing from the Dam, beautiful surrounding area, the river very calm down a way with a long train running by, gave a very nice scenery.

We stopped here on out way out of the Dalles and were glad we did. The view of the Dam was impressive and the interpretive center was interesting.

If you are on a long road trip, this is a nice easy place to stop to stretch your legs and learn a little history about the Dalles Dam. If you want a tour, check the official website because they rarely have tours. When we...More

A massive structure, but it lacks appeal for families with children. Okay for a brief viewing. Good spot for photos.

We visited the Dalles Dam on a Wednesday and found a nice, quiet visitors center. So quiet we were the only people there. The issue is that this dam is not all that popular so there are no dam tours on weekdays. All you can...More

Very informative Visitor's Center with a small number of items to purchase. Tours are only on the weekend and must be secured in advance. Hike on a trail across the river and got some pretty good views.
