This was our second visit to the museum. It was fun for our grandkids to be able to get into some of the cockpits. Looks like some of the planes were taken out not as many as before but still interesting.

Less than a mile off of Hwy. 101; it would be a mistake to pass by without checking it out. There is some amazing aircraft of all kinds; history of the base before it closed and just how much the base influenced the growth of the Tillamook area. Having moved to Tillamook in the last year, we have and will... More

We drove an hour from Cannon Beach to visit this air museum, my wife went like 10 years ago and thought it would be worth the hour drive while on vacation. What a horrible museum. She was shocked on how badly it deteriorated. For instance: 1) There were like 20 total aircraft, and one rust bucket even had a "For... More

If you are interested in WW2 History, then this is a must stop for you. First of all the hanger which used to house blimps used to defend the West Coast is huge and seeing is believing. The various exhibits are well worth the price of admission. If I ever get to Oregon again, I will be sure to stop... More

I would recommend this site to anyone travelling in our near Tillamook. It's a little dated with exhibits and video, but honestly it's well done. Very cool. To see the planes up close. Bring a jacket, it's always chilly in there.

Although billed as a WW2 attraction, where Navy blimps were housed during the war, there are next to no exhibits featuring the blimps except a difficult to view video that descriibed them. In the front of the hanger is a large cargo airplane known as a Guppy which we were able to board. The cockpit area had lots of trash.... More

I'm an aircraft nut so I enjoyed my time here. The most impressive part of the whole tour is the hanger; over 1,000 feet long, over 300 feet wide, and 20-some stories high. They could fit a full-size cruise ship inside this structure. And it's all made of wood. There is an informative video showing the history of the hanger... More
