We visited Timberline because of the snow attraction. We decided on a quick lunch in their Yeast fast food cafe. We were the only people there. The menu was very limited, I settled for a burger and chips. It took a while to come and...More

I was only visiting the lodge; not skiing, or lodging. I went to see the structure and the grounds. It was more of a tourist attraction for me to explore. What an incredible Lodge! Much of the structure is preserved. It has a mixed history...More

There are a several skiing options in Oregon, and this is the only ski lodge located in Oregon. This is one of the smaller of ski resorts, but one of the most magical. The lodge is amazing, google the history on it, and learn that...More

We love Timberline Lodge. I have gone there since I was a kid 40 years ago and the first floor of the main lodge was used by the ski area as day use. Crowded! I have stayed there periodically since, and it has retained it's...More

Beautiful architecture, a cozy retreat in a windswept landscape, and great for ski-in ski-out. Stayed here for our anniversary, and had a wonderful meal in the restaurant, and fun drinks in the bar. The rooms definitely show their age, even after renovation. Especially annoying was...More

I have visited the Timberline Lodge twice but haven't had a chance to stay there. The building itself it really beautiful, full of history and the connection to The Shining makes it even more interesting. It also offers amazing views.

This is a 1930's WPA constructed lodge; the rooms are small but quaint; and almost always booked winter or summer - I was making a reservation for January 2018 and my chosen room type was already booked in February 2017! There is a warm pool,...More

Make no mistake about Mt. Hood, it is a "Climb" no "hike". I have climbed it once, at age 50, but only after a number of rigorous hikes first. Guides will require a 1/2 day training session in advance to build skills, like... More

There are amazing trails departing directly from the Timberline Lodge including the Pacific Crest Trail. The Forest Service has maps for you on site. I have hiked many and the views are incredible.
