We spent a day driving on this highway seeing as much as possible. Waterfalls abound and also very interesting historical sights. It is a must do if you are in the Portland area.

Part of the road was closed due to fire damage. The stretch from Troutdale to Multnomah Falls is worth the ride.

When we were here in June 2018, the highway was only open from Troutdale to Bridalveil Falls because of a forest fire in 2017. The part we were able to drive was very scenic. Road conditions are good.
