Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ok view because the view obstructed by uncut bushes. It is in the way, so a quick stop is not a waste of time. But, not a destination. You can see the vista point, which is the best view to see the gorge from higher point. The vista building closes at 6pm but the view area is always open

Parking can be tricky here - the parking lot is tight, and there's no good way to turn around to come back out. Park at the upper end of the lot if possible, where there's more room to maneuver. Good views from here!

This is arguably the best view in Oregon's Columbia Gorge. It's now called Portland Women's Forum State Scenic Viewpoint but in the old days was known as Chanticleer Point. A plus is that looking to the east, you have a good view of Crown Point with the Columbia Gorge in the background.

It's definitely worth a stop. Great photo op. There is plenty of parking there and it looked like there was a trail.

It was a misty day but the view was amazing. I have a fear of heights but was able to enjoy the vistas at this spot.

We stopped here on our way to Vista House. The views of the river from this location are also beautiful and worth the stop.

This is the first viewpoint on the 7 mile journey down Historic 30 and waterfall drive. If the weather cooperates (Oregon?) you will be rewarded with a great view up and down the great Columbia River. It will give you a nice view of your next stop Crown Point Vista House where you can get important information regarding the location and hiking necessary for each fall. This is the first viewpoint on your trip down the avenue of the waterfalls that has sufficient parking. It has a large monument at the entrance relating to Lewis and Clark. Beautiful views when it is clear weather.

We came here on a rainy day but didn’t stay long because our view was hampered by the fog. Oh well. That's life.

Gorgeous lookout. Got there pretty early on and there was no one there. Beautiful open view of the whole gorge. Maybe one of the nicest views I've ever seen.

Hidden gem off the beaten path. Views as good as the Vista House with almost no other people around.
Views to the East down the Columbia River Gorge were spectacular.

We drove along the historic Scenic Highway 30 and just followed the signs. The tourist information center in Troutdale was very helpful, they told use about the route to use.
