- Dee G13 contributionsGreat wine trip with great friendsSpecial tastings with Alison Rickman, Wine Ambassador. Very informative about the property, wine process, their 40 years in business with tales of the early years about Jim Bernau, beautiful property with accommodations available, as well. We loved the afternoon event and will visit Turner again as well as the newest tasting room coming to Bend, Oregon. Congratulations WVV.Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 26 October 2023

Veronica was very knowledgeable and friendly, all of 8 of us asked her lots of questions and she was fantastic! I'd recommend this tour of the vineyard, it is a beautiful and peaceful place! - Maggie DPortland, Oregon4 contributionsGreat wines, wonderful views. We had the reserve flat with the cheese, fruit and meats platter at the Turner, OR vineyard near Salem. Afternoon views of Oregons wet, wintry vistas were beautiful. Pambrum cabernet and Tualatin Pinot were great. We’d gladly trade a night out at our favorite restaurant for a home cooked pasta or roast with a bottle of one of these.wines!Hello, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with such wonderful feedback about your recent visit. She answered all of our questions and even though the tour area was a little noisy. She spoke clear and loud enough that we could easily hear her. Our pod experience was extremely enjoyable. Lucy, our Winery Ambassadors was excellent at providing a world-class service experience. She was knowledgeable about the different wines, the style of glass that best suits each wine as well as pairing ideas. We recently did the clonal blending experience and it was so much fun making our own red blends! Max is out ambassador and has so much knowledge and has been an amazing tour guide and also blending guide! He also went out of his way to grab some very specific wine my husband loves that we've been having a hard time finding. Max and WVV are just the best!Visited December 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 21 December 2023
- Cindy F2 contributionsAshley R. at WVV was an amazing Bubble hostess! This is the second time we have done the bubble. Both times it was an amazing experience, but this time even more so. Our hostess Ashley R. was exceptional. She gave us a mini tour and help pick out our wine flights. She was very knowledgeable about the wines and the winery. She was such a joy and made our experience very memorable. We were there with our daughter, her husband and their two children. We all had a wonderful time. The wines and food were delicious.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 5 January 2024

They had just released their new menu options and we enjoyed a seasonal flight, a radicchio and citrus salad, and a duck confit and butternut squash salad. Our server, Kat, was informative and attentive. Oh, and let’s not forget to mention their delicious chocolate truffles. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening!Hello, Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with such wonderful feedback! Our chef, Lisa, and host, Brian, provided us with delicious food and wine. We learned how to prepare halibut that was moist and full of flavor, and the finishing touch of Bananas Foster was exquisite. The wine pairings with the food were perfect. My spouse and i rented a winery suite for two nights for our wedding anniversary. we also reserved a wine pod for one of the nights we were there. We were made to feel unwelcome and unaccommodated. First, the our room was full of dog hair. Although we understand that the the upper suit which we rented was dog friendly, the blanket and couch pillows should have been washed prior to our arrival. Online the winery suites states that included with the package is a private winery tour. when we got there they tod us that we had to have booked that in advance and because we reserved a Wine Pod it was either/or. However this didn't sit right as we were charged an additional $150 for the wine pod, and the winey tour was supposed to be included. we ended up getting the tour only after i argued with them and got all worked up. It tainied our celebration and having it be the first time we ventured out during this entire pandemic it was very disappointing. I can honestly say that this was a terrible experience and with them charging $395 a night it was not worth it.

WVV was a pioneer of Oregon winemaking, but only starting in the 1980's by the visionary founder Jim Bernau, who is still in charge. The setting is beautiful, just off I-5 on a slope which takes in mesmerizing views. There are different ways to experience this gem, but I highly suggest making it a lunch stop. Unlike many wineries, this is a serious restaurant, not a cheese plate. The lightly smoked local steelhead was fantastic and more than worth the $24, with delicious sides included. Pairs great with a glass of their amazing pinot noir; although a red, trust me it works.

I brought my family who were visiting from out of state, and I was embarrassed to have put them in a situation to spend these prices for such horrendous and rude service. They told us to seat ourselves, and it was difficult to find a clean table, so we had to go back inside to ask someone to clear a place for us. Then we had to go back inside again to track someone down so we could order appetizers. We all ordered a tasting flight at $20 per person (6 people), had to go inside to get each individual tasting for which the servers at the bar acted like they were annoyed to serve anyone. They did not rinse our glasses or give new glasses for each tasting -- that should be standard 101 for a winery, especially for a winery with this reputation for being above par. Nothing about my experience made me want to join a membership, return again, or recommend to a friend. So sad, because I remember when they used to be a nice place to go.

Wonderful wine tasting experience. We had reservations and were very excited to spend some time in this gorgeous tasting room. Callan was our wine leader throughout the wine tasting experience. She was extremely knowledgeable and did an amazing job explaining all of the details of the different wines that we were tasting.
I highly recommend that you visit this winery- the view is absolutely breathtaking.
We joined the wine club and can't wait to enjoy their wines here in Texas.

My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful experience at Willamette Valley Vineyards. The wine, food and ambience were all amazing, but what we'll truly remember the most is the rare, out of this world service we received from Betty. Betty, the the WVV is so incredibly lucky to have someone like you. Thank you for your kindness and going out of your way to make our experience one to remember. We'll be talking about this for years to come and will make sure to recommend WVV to everyone we know, and of course, to ask for Betty!!

Beautiful scenery, stunning views. The real gem, outside of the wine, was Betty! She was AMAZING!! Betty helped to prepare our palettes, she expertly guided us through the nuances of each wine, she picked up on the cues for what we liked and suggested others we may also like. She provided an excellent education for Williamette Valley wines and also resources for Oregon wine country for the rest of our trip. When we mentioned we were heading to the coast she provided helpful insider tips. The wine was delicious and Betty helped us to enjoy the experience even more. We left with amazing wine and feeling well taken care of. Thanks Betty for an amazing experience!!

We were in the Willamette Valley from July 30- August 4 sampling Pinot Noirs, and went to the Willamette Valley Vineyards in Turner, Oregon one day for a food and wine pairing.
We ended up shipping a case home, thanks to an incredible experience we had pairing up wines and tapas size dishes that Victoria placed in front of us. She was a superb guide, explaining what we would be tasting, its properties, and then patiently waiting for us to react first just to the wine and then to the wine paired with its food mate.
If you go, ask to be under Victoria's guidance. Top flight.

Wow! What an incredible experience and opportunity! Arianna was the hostess with the mostest and scored us a reservation on the fly, where Amber took total and complete care of our every need at a whim. I got to actually chat with Amber and get to know a little bit about her, and I wasn't disappointed! What a radiant and exceptional human being! This woman is reallt going places and blazing a trail behind her! I absolutely adore her, and enjoyed our conversation just as much as the wine tasting itself. She had exceptional recommendations and quality descriptions and knowledge about all that is Walamette Valley Vineyards and that they procure. I will most definitely be back and highly recommend this phenomenal opportunity! Xxo

We went there with another couple to just relax, and that, we did. It was a rainy day, and they had the fireplace lit, which made for very comforting surroundings. Hannah was our server, and what a delight. She was attentive, but not overly attentive. She has a great sense of humor, as well as knowledge about the wines. As stockholders, we are happy people like Hannah are employed at our winery, as she represents the winery well. We were not rushed for our tastings, and when out time was up, they allowed to move to another table not being used. The afternoon was just what we needed.

Currently, there is no 2015 vintage Pinot Gris available. But they do have a 2016 for $17. Just yesterday, I was at WVV for a tasting and they had an excellent 2015 Pinot Blanc for $24. I think it's my favorite of their current whites.

My husband has a meeting in Woodburn on 12/12,13 and I'm tagging along for my first visit to the NW!
I'd like for us to come for a tasting and possibly view the vineyard if it's not too cold or rainy. Hate to sound wimpy but we are from Florida. Is it possible to come for a visit? Can you make any suggestions? Thanks.
Written 27 November 2016
Carole we'd love to have you rain or shine. Our Tasting Room has cozy fireplaces, so please do make plans to visit. We are open 11 am - 6 pm for wine tasting and food pairings. If you'd also like a tour, we'd be happy to make a reservation for you. Safe travels and looking forward to sharing Oregon wine with you then. Best, Christine Collier, Winery Director

Hi,
Looking to stop by here in Mid August. What is the difference between the general tour and the the private tour? Would you do both or one over the other? I get the amount of time is different and the private tour costs money but if we are stopping on our way through to Bend, what do you recommend? Thanks!
Written 24 July 2016
You can speak with the vineyard about this. The private tour is supposedly more in depth. It also needs to be booked in advance. We considered the tour but did not arrive in time for it. Either way the wine is good!
Written 24 July 2016
There will be 5 of us doing a wine tour, tasting and having lunch on Aug
22. Do we need a reservation?
Written 6 February 2016
No, you do not need a reservation for a general tasting. But, spend the extra $20 per person for the private tour with wine/cheese pairing. You get wine, food, a tour, and a lot of great info. Ask for Veronica for your tour.
