Surprise side trip to the dam showed us a really nice park. We watched pelicans diving into the roiling Columbia River. Shade trees abound and a viewing platform to look at the river.

We toured the facility with an 8 year old boy. He was very interested in the salmon climbing the fish ladder. It is a very interesting facility to see.
