This was a very nice day trip for us. The hiking loop included many picturesque views of the falls. We parked by the beach and at the end of the walk hit up the snack bar for some much needed refreshments. The walk itself is not for everyone. You need to be in fairly good shape and able to negotiate... More

We love hiking at Rickets Glen, we've done both the moderate and more difficult trails, the waterfalls are magnificent. Even though we haven't had a lot of rain this year, there were still a lot of beautiful and impressive falls. Some of the other falls we visit frequently have all but dried up this year, but Rickets Glen still provided... More

Great day trip. Stopped to get picnic food in the way. First stop inside park to visitor center to get map. Had a picnic by Lake Jean. Then hiked some of falls trail then drove down to Evergreen trail to see nearby Adams falls. Many trails and waterfalls yet to be explored...next time!

We had a wonderful hike in Ricketts Glen and enjoyed the many lovely waterfalls. Great exercise and we were glad we wore our hiking boots as some rocks and steps can be moist and a bit slippery. We hiked this once before in the autumn and that was beautiful with the foliage. We tried to hike once in the early... More

We stayed a week in the park in a Modern Cabin and enjoyed every minute of the experience. The cabin was clean with baseboard heat, kitchen and bathroom. Hiked portions of the falls trail everyday as well as other trails in the park and never ran out of new sites to see. Cooked over a campfire every night and thoroughly... More

Went on a hike with my better half. It had rained the day before and was overcast the day we hiked. Luckily, it only rained for a few minutes. The hike is of moderate level, but can get tricky at times if it's slippery and wet. The waterfalls and creek are the major highlight. I was able to capture some... More

Much like all of the other posts here, we did a family hike on my birthday along Falls Trail and it was such a great morning. The Fall leaves, the waterfalls, the fresh air and a trail that requires effort both up and down. Even though we have had lower than average rainfall through Fall this year, the 2 creeks... More

We stopped here on a road trip of waterfalls in north east PA - what a wonderful and lovely place. The waterfalls hike is just spectacular. You need sturdy hiking shoes and be careful on the up and down steps. So many falls in one short (3+ miles) hike. We hope to explore the park more on a future trip.

Despite the fact I only live 40 miles from the park I had never gone to Ricketts Glen prior to today. The park is beautiful and well maintained. Fall in NEPa is a wonderful time of year to visit the park. The Falls Trail is a nice hike but the footing can be a bit tricky since many of the... More
