It was my solo visit to Lancaster county, so I had mailed Aron&Jessica's Buggy Ride that I would be coming on the Christmas day, all the way from New York. They were quick to respond and kind. Kim was at the post to point me to the right place for a quick grab for brunch as I haven't had anything... More

My husband and I took the buggy ride and farm tour package and are thrilled! John, our tour guide, was so nice and super informative. We went to his sons dairy farm and John showed us the inner workings of the farm. It was so educational! We enjoyed discussing how the farm works and seeing the behind the scenes equipment.... More

Had the pleasure of taking a tour with my family of the Amish country side. Our tour guide was "JOHN". He made the tour amazing. Even going as far as to take us to his farm and introduce us to his son. Explained all about the life and answered any questions we had thoroughly. Easy parking lot to access. Great... More

We are glad you enjoyed your visit to the farm. John, who we also know as "Hansie" is a wonderful host and guide. It's a wonderful opportunity to see how a real Amish farm works and life there as well. All the best to you and many blessings in 2017. :)) More

Boyfriend and I went once on a Sunday, gorgeous ride but not very hands on. We went back on a Friday and went on the farm tour with John. He is FABULOUS! We got to see all the baby cows, hold the newborn barn kittens, eat homemade amish food and meet his family. Such wonderful people, such a wonderful man!... More

Thank you so much for your review. Sunday comes as a day of rest and although its the best day to see Amish folks on the road or at church, no work is done in the field on Sundays. A farm tour Monday through Saturday is an ideal way to see Amish life in action, not just on the farm,... More

Went on a quick ride. Our driver Levi very informative and funny. Got a first hand look at what it must be like to drive in a buggy with trucks and cars bearing down on you. Please be courteous to these wonderful people.

Thanks for your review. I appreciate it. Some things come to us as "regular" ... like driving a horse in traffic ! ;))) We don't think about it differently than you would driving your car, but for those who don't use the horse for transportation it can be eye opening ! Actually you are much safer in a carriage than... More

Thank you for your review. I have to smile a bit... yes, home-made, old fashioned root beer is not what you might expect. It's made with real and active yeast so there is a difference in taste and carbonation from the store bought. ;)) My Grandmother used to make it. Years back they even canned it for use at special... This was an awesome expierence! Ask for John and Buster the Horse...he's very personable and made this experience great! He answered any and all my questions! I have a whole new perspective on the Amish way of life!! He let us tour his active dairy farm. Make sure you buy his wife's chocolate chip cookies..pretzels and home made root beer.... More

Hi Shari, We are happy you enjoyed your visit with us. John (Hans) enjoys meeting folks who take an active interest in farm life. Amish people live independently... not like the pioneers.. but with a cultural uniqueness that represents the "good ole days" and what this country used to be like. It's like stepping back in time. Thanks for the... More

We have done this before but my kids hadn't and my 7 year old and husband got to ride in front with the buggy ride driver who shared last knowledge about the Amish culture. It was a lovely experience and relaxing way to learn about the Amish.

Very nice staff, unfortunately because it was Sunday, we were only able to do the 25 minutes tour; I wish it was longer and more interactive, next time we will look for the 1 hr. tour to get closer to the Amish community. I have two boys 10 and 5, they did pretty good BUT, If your kid by any... More

We took this ride on a Sunday, so we were limited to what we had to choose from. The guide was very knowledgable and friendly. The ride was smooth. I really enjoyed riding by all the farms and seeing the town's residents passing by.

Sunday drivers, we call you. Sundays provide a great opportunity to see Amish folks out and about... on the way to visit friends or family; on the way to church or young folks meetings. Amish districts hold church every other Sunday so everyone is out and about, finishing milking early to go on their way. You may see more Amish... More
