Lots of fun, but crowded on Presidents' Day holiday!

We, my 2 daughters (one preteen, one teen), husband, and I had a good time here on Monday, February 20, 2017. When we arrived around 10 a.m. we found it quiet and had a great time sampling from many different flavors of ice cream! As we started to move through the activities the crowds continued to increase, however, and we... More

Three generations ranging including 1-, 4-, 6-, 13-yo's (and us older folks) had an enjoyable and instructional good time at this family-friendly attraction. There are educational storyboards for the older set, and hands-on things for the young ones: bouncy ball tank, scent machines, video games (not very hi-tech), movie clips, etc. Not unexpectedly, two of the favorite stations were the... We went as a group with a classic car club. We at once realized that this place was oriented for the younger set, but we had a great time. A lot of interactive displays and walking tour, photo op places but the high point for us was the make your own ice cream flavor. We were lucky that our trip... More

My husband and I were driving through the area and decided to stop and explore. We are very happy we did. It was just us but we had a great experience. We both did the "make your own ice cream" tour b/c they require both to purchase that ticket to enter the room together. Making our own ice cream was... More

Turkey Hill Experience is a fun place for everyone of all ages. Lots of interesting facts, ice cream samples & drink samples. The "lab" is where you make your own flavor ice cream in a full pint container. The lab does cost a little extra, but well worth it. The actual ice cream factory is located 6 miles from this... Call ahead and make a reservation for the ice cream experience. You are given a portioned container of vanilla ice cream and shown how to flavor it and how to add different toppings. It was delicious! The museum is interesting and geared towards all ages. We went on a Saturday and it wasn't overly crowded. The people are very knowledgeable... More

My husband and I took a day trip to the Turkey Hill Experience just for fun. We had heard about it for years, but never had the chance to go until recently. It's about 2.5 hours from our house, so we made a day trip out of it on a Sunday. We bought tickets when we got there instead of... More

Don't bother eating lunch beforehand. You will have the chance to eat more ice cream than you could imagine. The exhibits are cute - you can milk a fake cow, learn the history of turkey hill, pretend to drive a milk truck and play in a small ball pit and slide. They have a few other games set up. You... Visiting with 14 and 16 year old boys, I was concerned that this experience might be too 'babyish' for them to enjoy, but I was happily surprised to see how much fun there was for all ages to enjoy. Visiting on a Thursday in January, we practically had the place to ourselves. Lots of history to read, fun interactive games,... More

I took my 2 grandchildren ages 6 & 9 last Monday and included the Lab. Pricy for kids but every tourist site is in Lancaster County. Lots of free Ice Cream and drinks. Overall happy we went. Needless to say crowded and could be a bit hectic. It was very clean and staff very friendly. We live close by but... More
