Cook forest has wonderful river views and trails. Great views of old trees. Friendly park ranger with lots of information at office. We walked along the river road and it was quite lovely even though it was Feb.

The park is very beautiful with great trails for hiking. Be sure to visit the fire tower. There are great views from the top! Seneca Point is a short distance from the tower offering great views of the valley and river.

My husband and I hiked along Tomk's Run and also Longfellow Trail. It was a nice day. Would recommend wearing comfortable clothing and taking your camera for those inspirational photos.

Cook Forest is a great place for a weekend or day trip. We camped at Ridge Campground, walked to Seneca Rock and the fire tower, then took the River Trail. If you do this, go to the park office first and get a map. There...More

The rustic cabins in the state park are rustic in design & furnishings. At least they are better than a tent. Be careful with the private cabins as well. We have been going to Cook Forest for years & choose to overlook... More
