This place could be a wonderful destination but it hasn't been kept well and it is a meeting spot for adults who sometimes engage in lewd acts in public. I wouldn't take a child there.

The pothole does show one just how super long term dripping of glacial water can erode soil and rock. The pothole itself is interesting but it's poorly maintained. It's in a very wooded area so there's lots of natural branch and leaf accumulation down inside....More

A hole in the ground, literally. You can see it all in five minutes. Nothing for kids to do. If it's not out of your way then stop by. Not worth a long drive.

The Archbald Pothole State Park is small and a visitor can see it all in about 10 minutes. It is a unique geological phenomena.

This was a surprise to see. Archbald Pothole was formed during the Wisconsin Glacial Period. Discovered by Patrick Mahon. To imagine that 13,000 years ago, this "pothole" was created, it's pretty darn cool! Please note that there is fencing around it, so it's safe for...More

Pretty little park but there is literally nothing more than a parking lot and a pothole. The pothole is a great geological treasure but is usually filled with leaves.

We had to see what this park was so hubby and I drove in. Its a big hole in the ground splattered with trash. Not sure what happened there to attract area tourism??

It's a pothole. A rather large, naturally occurring pothole. It's actually pretty cool to look down inside and see life continuing on the inside. There is a fence all the way around. We spent 10 minutes here. We came, we saw. Now, it looks like...More

There isn't much to do here, it's only a small park but that doesn't take away from the attraction. Its a pretty cool part of local history and will amaze kids and adults! Don't plan a whole day here, but maybe a quick stop or...More

I didn't write the original review, they would have spelled it, not me. And I don't see a mention of Dalton in my review? There is still really not anything worth stopping for. Sorry.
