This is a seasonal tourist attraction, mostly open in the summer. It has short hours, but is beautiful. It's a common backdrop for photography.

...is well worth the climb! The stairs are a bit narrow...and so is the platform at the top, but the history of the Lighthouse and the view of the lake and beaches is spectacular.

We were visiting during the week and just happened to drive by and find that the light house was open. It always used to be closed. Anyway. We took the tour and climbed to the top. The volunteer guides are very knowledgeable.

Although we didn't tour the renovated lighthouse, we did drive past it twice while on Presque Isle, and it looks very nice.

We arrived to early, so it wasn't open yet, so we couldn't take the inside tour, but they had the gates open so we could walk around on the grounds and take pictures. I would really like to get back so I could go inside...More
