For a smaller zoo - this one is first class!

The Erie Zoo may not be large, but they update exhibits every year and it's well done. They've lost a few animals recently that I hope they will replace in the near future.

Erie is very fortunate to have a perfect sized zoo that is a great size for a quick visit or an entire full day of family fun. The easy to get around areas and convenient parking is welcoming in every way. The Zoo is a Community treasure and the friendly staff and happy animals will make you want to make... More

A wonderful asset for a city this size. They have made some great renovations in recent years and continue to do so. A nice place to spend a couple of hours with little ones.

It has been a few years since I have visited this little zoo, but I keep up to date with it's renovations. The outdated bear and lion grottoes have had their moats filled in and is now a glass fronted exhibit for lynx. The zoo is also working on turning the former outside gorilla grotto to an outdoor exhibit for... More

The best for a town the size of Erie! Plenty of parking, great help by employees. The area around the zoo can be used for a picnic area for the family. Bring your cook out food enjoy then visit the Zoo.

I would put this Zoo in the must see column if you have young children. A lot of the animals are very close and are an easy seeing distance. The facility is very clean and the food vendors are adequate. I would highly recommend this as an addition to a trip to Splash Lagoon which is also in the same... More

My children enjoy visiting the zoo every year! The train ride is one of our favorite attractions! There is a nice variety to admire and the prices are very reasonable.

I'm sort of an animal whisperer, have had all kinds at my home. So when I figured out the correct lion voice, I loudly (I'm not shy), let out with it! The male lion responded! We went back and forth. A crowd appeared and enjoyed it with us. (the female lion responded to the male lion, as if she was... More

This is a great little zoo that is large enough to keep the kids entertained, but not so large that their little legs give out and end up making it a bad experience. Quite a few animals at the zoo to see. Some of the enclosures could be larger though. there is a carousel for the kids to ride and... More
