You can see and smell the making of the famous Utz Potato Chips and Snacks at our over 600,000 square foot facility in Hanover, Pennsylvania. There, we have built a special glass enclosed observation gallery that looks down on our production process from beginning to end. You will be guided step-by-step with the aid of a push-to-talk audio program and closed-circuit TV monitors. A wall display of Utz's history will enhance your understanding of the company and its products. From start to finish, you'll be impressed with the care we put into Utz Potato Chips. At Utz, we use the finest ingredients and the most advanced equipment. Our factory is one of the cleanest and most modern snack food operations in America. The Utz Potato Chip Trip is fun for the whole family, a learning experience for young and old, and a snack lover's delight. Come and enjoy the free tour at your own pace!

Free, easy, no waiting. Recorded messages are detailed enough in describing the process. You can actually see the product very well from the raised enclosed walkway as it goes thru each process. Better than the Ben and Jerry's tour in Vermont.

We've been to several tours of this type and this one by far did the best job of explaining everything. It's self guided with push button talking points, and a window right into the factory. I learned a lot about the process. The lady at...More

There's not much to this tour. You walk down a hallway, looking to the right and watch various stages of production. It took us about 15 minutes to go through the tour. You get a free small bag of chips at the end. The kids...More

Who doesn't love Utz potato chips? The self-guided tour doesn't take long. Two boys, ages seven and nine, really enjoyed it and had lots of questions and were very impressed by the whole Factory concept. Utz employs 2500 south-central Pennsylvanians and I applaud the company's...More

Not really. There are stairs to climb up and no elevator available. I think there is a very limited sight line for the factory by taking another route but you can not look down and see the actual operation.
