My family (all adults) and significant other visited during the off season. There was few other people there and it was like we had the zoo to ourselves. The exhibits were all very clean and the signage was informative. We saw all the animals they have. The giant snapping turtle and elk were our favorite. The zoo was very easy... More

Very limited in size and scope, but still enjoyed seeing what they have. The cats were beautiful. A few protesters in front of the place. I understand their point. I don't like animals locked up in small enclosures for their entire lives! It's like prison for some serious crime they committed, but they are innocent. Certainly don't believe animals equal... This isn't your regular lions, tigers and monkey's kind of zoo. I was really confused by another review saying they didn't have a lot of traditional animals...This is all of the animals you will find in the Park's surroundings here in Northern America (thus the name). There is an indoor section then you can venture outdoors to walk the path... More

ZooAmerican is a very diverse zoo. The manor in which this Zoo is set up is amazing. This Zoo has two building which house many species that you might not expect to see. Next, there is an outside portion. The layout is not too much of a challenge for those who do not want to walk a lot. There is... More

I liked this a lot! Lots and lots of animals! Even in December, they are quite active! Very scenic too!

We where in Hershey in January and was glad to find this small zoo open. It was really icy in the morning but warmed up quickly so we decided to visit the Zoo. We found the paths to be well maintained and staff very friendly. We had a very enjoyable time visiting the animals. Nice assortment of animals to view... More

Living in the Bronx, you expect all zoos to be large and plentiful but when traveling you start to realize that other places have hidden gems we had two day tickets to Hershey Park which included the admissions zooAmerica we went through this zoo in a little less than two hours and found the park to be enjoyable. The staff... More

We visited this zoo on our way in to Hersheypark. The staff was wonderful and the zoo was nice. It took us about an hour to go through. There was no crowd at all. I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you're heading to the park.

Winding hilly trails lead you to each animal's area. Most are clearly marked, some, not so much. This zoo just needs some growing room. It is a nice break in the waterpark day. To get to it, you do have to climb more hills though. My tip: if you have a tight schedule, save yourself the time a view this... More
