The conductor was very personable. He pointed out various places of interest during the train ride. The train took about 1.5 hours. The was nice scenery on both sides of the track. It was nice and relaxing.

When you are visiting the birthplace of commercial railroading in the United States, it only makes sense to ride the train. The Stourbridge Line runs alongside the Lackawaxen River and the remains of the Delaware & Hudson Canal that used to connect Honesdale (and its...More

Train was nice, remodeled. But could not hear conductor explain what we were seeing. Just a little river and a lot of woods. Would not take again.

Nice train train. They need to offer wine and cheeses- we brought our own which was a no no. They also need speakers as you can't heard the conductor describe what you are seeing

Until I arrived, I had no idea this was literally where the first rail travel of any sort began in the United States. Seriously. The train has two coach cars from the 1930's or 40's that have been restored and one air conditioned, more modern...More

My family and I made plans to attend Winterfest in Hawley Pennsylvania. One of the things to do was take a 45-minute train ride with the jolly one himself. The train that was nicely decorated and heated left the train station for a little winter...More
