This old village is well preserved,with people still living there.it is possible to enter the court yards.you are free to walk inside and see the way of living.

Suggest to take old train, which has only meter wide rail, to visit the village ( but do. schedule your time) Unlike most of other tourism villages, local people still live in this village, giving birth, cooking meals, washing clothes. 50 rmb entry free. Guards follow you. Preferably stay in main city. Not so atractring. Village was made in 1910 Nice tiny bridge before entering

The little Ancient town, Tuan Shan, is definitely worth of a visit. Little yellow minivan / busses run from opposite the KFC near the Linann Hotel. Loved seeing this ancient city and following the old winding alleys through and getting a sense of the history there. We were a little hounded by locals who wanted photos with our daughter, so that ruined it a bit for us, but overall - definitely worth a visit. You can see some nice bridges and scenery along the way too.... More

This small ancient town is still relatively undiscovered, as nearby Jianshui continues to get bigger and more bustling. Tuan Shan Village is the place to go for a less crowded 古城 (Ancient Town) experience. It is located about 16 miles back in the hills west of Jianshui.
