Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a day of exploring in Smolyan and I'm glad we didn't miss this sight. The drive here can be a bit tricky, with narrow and bumpy roads, but it is definitely worth it. There is the option to go on the flying fox through the bridge, but we didn't check out the prices for it. Nearby there are plenty of walking trails and the lovely mountain views were very refreshing.

To reach The Wonderful Bridges you need to take the road Asenovgrad - Smolyan. There are signs that will take you to the The Wonderful Bridges. With its zig-zag turns and majestic mountain views the road itself is a great experience.
The Wonderful Bridges are one of the most interesting natural phenomena in Bulgaria. There are two bridges: the bigger one is 96 metres long and 70 metres wide.
It is believed that thousand years ago there was a cave in the bed of river which collapsed after an earthquake. The river washed away the stone debris during the centuries and the beautiful bridges appeared. Today The Wonderful Bridges are marble arcs.
Walking around is bliss. There are many herbs, flowers and other plant species all around the bridges and among centuries-old pine forests. The scent is divine!
There is a restaurant where you can have some refreshments, salad, fries and also, some typical Bulgarian food such as kebapche (a dish of grilled minced meat with spices). It was Saturday and there were many visitors. Probably during the week the place is more peaceful.
There is a car park free of charge. Here from the stalls we bought some delicious high quality honey and homemade jam.
Enjoy it!

The Wonderful Bridges (Chudnite mostove - in Bulgarian) are a must-see if you are in Smolyan/Chepelare/Pamporovo area. When you look at the shapes created by water and winds, you realize that the place is really divine.
There is a narrow road, leading up to the bridges and there is a trail, going around the area and you can go down to the river. There are railings but you have to be careful anyway, as there are some steep places!

Although our hike was shorten by rain this is a really good hike with some interesting trail engineering. Be sure to make arrangements to visit the new visitors center.

Organised tour/trip - in mini bus. Good decision ( bus) as we found that the roads are very bendy , narrow, slow.. but you are on holiday.. we loved naturally formed bridges - originally caves many years ago. All accessible. Small cafe/ refreshments on site . Didn’t asked but imagine cash payment only. As it is tourist attraction, stands with souvenirs and traditional snacks ( hot savoury breads)

To all tourist and people who are in Bulgaria, take a day to visit this amazing place. The nature, the phenomenal Wonderful Bridges, the delicious kitchen in the open restaurant. This place is one of the most beautiful in the Rhoropi mountains and I really put it on the list "Must visit"! 😊 ❤️ 🌞

This is amazing, a must see by any tourist, it is a bit steep coming down to the bottom of it and will benefit from a handrail instalation, restaurant nearby and a possibility of staying in the schalet for 15 leva per night which is a bargain. Local produce for sale nearby.

A beautiful and special place.
Note that there is a 30 minutes drive from the main road, in an old and narrow way.

This place is truly spectacular and much more worh a visit than a regular cave i my opinion. The drive is a bit nerve wracking so factor in plenty of time for the poor and curvy road, but it's worth it. Because of the limited signage, we choose the difficult way down, but managed it without a problem in the end and the reward was great - fantastic scenery! Unfortunately, the zip-line only runs on weekends, so we couldn't go on that. Do not miss the restaurant down the slope from the parking lot - it may not seem like much but they had great (and very cheap) food and a super friendly owner/chef.
