Breathtaking and very magical place, coffee stop halfway to the Crags. You can easily take a picnic and spend the whole day here. Dogs love it

A great set of walks - down from the car park (pretty small so you may need to park on the street even if you a National Trust member!) to Gibson's Mill - nice cafe and plenty of seats - can even take dogs inside....More

Lovely walk skirting the small river, lots of big rocks for photo opportunities. Nice little cafe at the end of the walk, but not the cheapest take your own drinks and swandwiches

If you stick to the road its fine but for offroad paths a papoose or backpack. If its one of those small old school McLaren type buggies you might get away with carrying. Hope this is of use. The road route goes through the... More
