Very relaxing

Such a lovely area. Many pubs and shops. There is a playing field on a side. The Footpath is flat so is suitable for wheelchair users. Really nice and relaxing place.

We walked along the canalside just to have a look at the scenery and ended up walking to Mytholmroyd - where we stopped off to look in the clog factory and also to see where the poet Ted Hughes was born. If you go the other way on the canal you can walk to Todmorden.

Ok, it's January so what is to be expected but this was a very enjoyable route up to the Stubbing's Wharf pub for lunch. Much quicker than the road but I would not walk this at night! You might get even wetter!

Hebden Bridge Canalside is simply gorgeous and a great place just to walk along and take in all the sights of the barges and long boats going up and down it. I found people very friendly. It is definitely worth a visit.

This is a lovely area, flat so suitable for wheelchair users. There are a few shops along the canal, art studios, a bicycle shop and cafe in one, and a leather worker. The leather workers shop is amazing. He makes custom made belts, bags and handbags, and much more (including restoring leatherwork in vintage cars, on motorcycles, and saddles) It... More

A very enjoyable walk giving some very nice views of Hebden Bridge. This is a popular route for both cyclists and walkers.

Always great to stroll along the canal and see the classic use of water for transport and for power.

I realise that the town is still in recovery mode after the flooding. We took a walk along the canalside after following signs to the cafe and shops. Very little was going on with the exception of the leatherworker and maybe the electric bike shop. The cafes only open at weekends and this was a wet thursday, in need of... More
