We have a well qualified, knowledgable and enthusiastic team to make your cycling experience one to remember. Our cycling tours, rides and routes and group events are designed for riders of all abilities who want to enjoy what Yorkshire has to offer. Our focus is on providing a Yorkshire cycling experience that you wouldn’t get from just plotting the rides yourself. Our extensive local knowledge of routes, climbs, scenery and the essential café stops will add so much to your trip to Yorkshire. We now offer a range of leisure cycling holidays for those wishing to cycle less distance each day and have more time for sightseeing and enjoying all that Yorkshire has to offer a visitor. Often clients ask for a bespoke trip and we are very happy to arrange a cycling experience that exactly fits your requirements.

Charles offered all the resources I needed to successfully navigate a solo hub and spoke 3 day ride in the Yorkshire Dales. His service and the beauty of the Dales surpassed my expectations.

Booked a 4 day cycling holiday with Yorkshire Velo and have to say It was really well organised Charles was always there on time in the morning to meet up and has a wealth of information about the tour. The route was mainly on quite b roads and the views were amazing I would highly recommend booking with this company

fantastic 3 day cycle tour around the dales, mainly on yorkshire dales cycleway. Trip was brilliantly managed by Charles, very quick to answer questions before the trip, and was there to meet us everyday to tell us about the ride, including best places to stop to eat and drink. Highly recommended, using Charles's services took all the stress out of the trip and ensured we had a relaxed time. Hope to be back!

I met Charles and was instantly put to ease by his kind and friendly demeanour. The booking process in advance of my trip was really easy and relaxed and he created a perfect route based on what I had said I was after - a bit of distance and some hills, of which there are plenty to choose from! Cycling through the Yorkshire Dales, the scenery everywhere was absolutely stunning. The routes were great and we had some perfectly planned cafe stops for tea and cake. Given the bespoke nature of my booking, Charles made it really easy for me to make adjustments to my last day too. All in all I can’t recommend highly enough!

Using Yorkshire Velo was an excellent experience. The service and route guidance was outstanding. I found Yorkshire Velo on line and I'm very pleased with my decision to use them. The services and experience offered were good value for the price. Charles knows the Dales very well and the route that he created for me was challenging and the scenery was amazing. Yorkshire is a great cycling destination and I highly recommend Yorkshire Velo.

Excellent and caring service. Very supportive and brilliant trip organiser. The scenery we were shown as a result of a very thoughtful and knowledgable organiser ( Charles) was staggering. Thank you and very much look to using your services again in the future.

Great experience. Couldn’t have been better. Everything went splendidly thanks to their keen attention to our personal needs. The routes they planned met perfectly our ability and goals. We had stunning vistas and refreshed ourselves at charming pubs and restaurants. Wish we had had more days of riding. Would definitely use them again and recommend them unconditionally.

I asked Charles if he could put together a ride from Hexham to Ilkley and back in 4 days and he did just that - a good route, nice places to stay and he was always there in the morning to pick up our bags and give us advice on cafes and anything else about the route, including shortening it one day! A great trip.

I learnt Yorkshire as a cycling paradise from the indoor cycling game “zwift”, and I am looking for a “real” cycling experience in Yorkshire. Charles was extremely helpful in finding a suitable size road bike for me, listening to my expectations, suggesting routes and providing GPX files ahead. Grateful to have Charles’s 1-to-1 support in two days rides, leading the directions and visited a local cyclist café at Harrogate.
The views of Yorkshire are absolutely stunning, the weather was perfect for cycling. I was longing for cycling on the 2019 UCI World Harrogate Circuit (also one of the route in zwift), I finally made this dream came true.
The accommodation was also excellent. I stayed at One Tivoli Place for two nights. The guest house was a lovely and tidy one. The delicious Japanese breakfast is the most memorable one.
The overall experience and trip arrangement is perfect. Must have to recommend to my friends in Hong Kong. Wish to coming back again in summer and seeing the “purple carpet” in the moorland.

I discovered Yorkshire Velo on the web when looking for a multi day UK cycling holiday.
After an initial enquiry via the webform, Charles contacted me a couple of hours later to discuss options.
Charles was excellent throughout, he listened to what I was looking to achieve and gave me some initial ideas factoring in my daily mileage requirements and the signature climbs I was looking to tackle.
Once we agreed to proceed Charles provided an excellent itinerary for my 3 (and a bit) day adventure, with comfortable bike friendly accommodation, hearty breakfasts and superb food/coffee shop recommendations.
Charles met me upon arrival at the Wheatley Arms and checked I had everything I needed for my trip. He took my bags (which he transported to my accommodation in Hawes) and provided an excellent map to supplement the gpx files he had sent me beforehand. We communicated each day by text and Charles met me again on the final day to make sure everything had gone smoothly which it had.
Each day in the Dales was a real challenge (as I requested). I cycled 230 miles with 25,000 ft of climbing including the Malham Cove Road, Buttertubs Pass, Tan Hill, Fleet Moss and Kidstones. I was blessed with superb weather throughout but be prepared as the conditions at 2,000 ft (Fleet Moss/Tan Hill) are noticeably different from the valleys.
Grippy roads, challenging (sometimes brutal) climbs, proper beer and Northern folk makes the Yorkshire Dales a cyclist’s paradise. I will definitely be back and will look no further than Yorkshire Velo to plan my trip.
