Currently, this small museum is only open on Wednesday and Saturday (1000 - 1200 hrs), but is free to enter. There's an interest mix of exhibits which will appeal to all ages. The building itself is very picturesque particularly the exterior. Well worth visiting if you can see when open.

Local museum that's only open on certain days, with OK displays. However, the Royal Wootton Bassett Old Town Hall is a highly interesting local building of significant architectural significance - well worth a look if you're passing and like old buildings. You won't see one of these in every town of the same old same old shops!

A small museum that is only open Wednesday and Saturday mornings but well worth a visit as it covers many local topics about the past. Staffed by local volunteers who know about these things!!

This very attractive little building is the highlight of a quite pretty high street.Parking is not too fantastic but we finally found a space and had a good look around.Plenty of decent pubs and places to eat.Visited 1st July 2016.

We arrived at 12.10pm on Saturday, not realising it closed at 12pm, but the lovely lady volunteer stayed and gave us so much information. There is loads to see, something for everyone, young and old. International visitors would love it. A super part of British History; thank you

Popped into the Museum that stands on 21 stone pillars. This is only open a few hours on certain days so check to avoid disappointment. It's staffed by very friendly knowledgeable guys that will freely offer information on the history of the town and predominantly about the closing of the Wootton Bassett Railway Station in 1965. Entrance is free but... More
