just a visit to the tea room this time, was not disappointed, the food was lovely! I had a jacket potato with cheese, mushrooms+ red onion chutney, It was SO tasty, served with just the right amount of side salad and a pot of coleslaw- yummy!

Gardens are okay nothing special a little bit underwhelming however I do appreciate it is winter. Tea room absolutely dreadful and poorly run. Limited menu and definitely overpriced for the quality and quantity you receive, the whole tea room just seemed dirty, chaotic and poorly managed. The cutlery was dirty, tables dirty and unclean, the milk had an unidentified piece of goodness what floating around in it (possibly dried on food from something) condiments were cheap poor quality, and the hot food was clearly reheated and poorly presented.... No pride whatsoever taken in any aspect, even the toilets were cold and had no toilet paper/hand paper. I did politely point out to one of the staff about the dirty milk and cutlery but no apology was offered and quite frankly no cares were given. Such a terrible shame the place has potential to be lovely if in the right hands. Will not return and absolutely not reccomend much nicer places that deserve the custom locally. Dreadful unhygienic experience.

Went yesterday as a colleague had been to the Halloween garden display.
The Christmas displays around the gardens are very underwhelming. It seems like they have just thrown a cheap fake snow felt over the last display and placed cheap tinsel over a few bushes. Yes there are a few photo opportunities on a bench or sleigh but it is not worth the admission fee. I do believe it would look nice in spring or summer but everything today looked cheap and tacky.

Brilliant gardens well dressed up for Halloween, as regular visitors we love coming here. Cafe lovely with a great atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. Often very quiet and a relaxing escape. Kids absolutely love it too! Would highly recommend a visit.

I visited with my daughter to see the Halloween gardens. We arrived at 9.15 as their facebook page said they opened at 9. It was very quiet at this time which is worth noting as it was very busy by the time we left. We had to wait a while to be served and ring the bell a few times as there were no staff around, despite them being open.
We visited the toilets which i’m afraid to say were not very pleasant. The ladies toilet didn’t have a seat on it!
I found the staff to be quite sullen and unwelcoming, especially for an attraction that is marketing itself at children.
The gardens were done up brilliantly for Halloween and a lot of effort has gone into it! There were some quite scary parts, but these were clearly signposted and avoidable for those with very young children. It took us about half an hour to walk around.
Afterwards, we visited the cafe which is decorated really nicely. I ordered a piece of cake, which was cut and then the lady disappeared off with it for quite a while. When it came back, the icing had melted a little and the cake was warm in parts and cold in others, so I am assuming that it was microwaved. The price of the cake was expensive considering this and the size of the portion.
Overall i was a little underwhelmed. I’m not sure we would rush back.

We visited today for the first time and will be returning. We went into the cafe on arrival and I had a lovely peaceful of cake, a little treat for me. The decorations were cute and creative. The food ordered for my children was fresh and tasty. The pot of tea was huge well worth the money. I am going to book a afternoon tea there for my parents as the food was excellent considering the covid restrictions. The staff were fab and welcoming. Would recommend to all.

Went in the cafe first. Unfortunately this has gone downhill. Tea served in small disposable cups. Soup also served in a cup and with a wooden spoon which was far from ideal for eating soup. Small portions and overpriced for what it is. Peanut butter scone tasted nice but was very very dry and crumbled. Customer service is also not great. A table near us had a complaint about what they claimed to be undercooked food. A member of service staff and the cook were having nearly a shouting match with the people complaining. You don't do that. The customer is always right....even if their not. You don't argue with the customer you apologise and refund for the undercooked food...simple. This made it an even more unpleasant experience.

After the cafe we went in the gardens which have been done up nicely for Halloween. With the time of year no garden is going to look colourful but the gardens at Whitlenge are always well maintained. Expensive if you wanted to go in the gardens more regularly. We will visit the gardens again at some point in the future but will steer clear of the cafe.

It was a lovely sunny day and we were visiting Worcester and so decided to visit some gardens to enjoy the Autumnal colours - we found Whitlenge gardens in the Gardeners World 2 for 1 Offer and as Senior Citizens the cost would only be £4.50 for both of us.
Having driven up the A449 and followed a poorly signed track we arrived in the carpark and were greeted with billows of smoke from the adjoining Recycling depot ? rubbish dump .... not very welcoming!
We entered the Tea rooms which had a very good selection of Scones (but spoiled by flavourless jam) and then went to the entry desk for the Gardens where we were told that it would cost us £5.50 each and that as it was the month before Halloween EVERY day was considered an "Event day" and therefore the Gardeners World Offer was not valid.
When we questioned why our GW Card was not accepted, we were told to take it or leave it - We left very disappointed and certainly will not return when next in the area.

Dropped in today without any great expectations because there seem to be a couple of mixed reviews but ended up having a great experience.

Started in the cafe which has really pretty tables (country cottage / English tea room style) with a cappuccino and a cherry scone (both lovely). Followed that with a walk around the gardens £9 for 2 adults (including a printed map). I won’t spoil it by giving lots of details, suffice to say it’s much bigger than you think and the last bit is pretty breathtaking.

We were lucky that the sun was out today so a hefty dose of vitamin D, lovely gardens and nice food = a few hours well spent.

Relatively easy to maintain a healthy distance from other people if you’re concerned about COVID-19, good, clean toilet facilities and plenty of hand sanitiser.

We definitely recommend.
