Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited the SVR and happily (on our 2 year olds part!) coincided with the Hey Duggee meet and greet. Started the day in Kidderminster where parking is to the right of the entrance and this was £4 all day. There is lots to look at in Kidderminster Station and you check in at the Booking Office. We got a couple of drinks and snacks from the kiosk on the platform too but there's also a museum and cafe. We arrived at 9.15am, went straight to Bridgnorth (you go past safari park animals on the train which was exciting!) and spent a few hours there, we then stopped at the engine house on the way back which is fab, lots to see and do including King George's carriage, other train carriages, magic shows, park, cafe, gift shop, mini golf etc. We visited the cafe here which was very reasonably priced with a pizza and chips meal, slice of cake and bottle of soft drink coming to approx £13. We met Duggee which was very well organised and didn't feel at all rushed through. All the staff we met throughout the day were incredibly helpful, friendly and well dressed too.

Brilliant steam train ride to see Duggie, this was for our great granddaughters third birthday she loved the train and was over the moon when she saw her hero.

Great day put. Lots to see and do. Good value for money and friendly staff. A visit to the Engine Shed at Highley is recommended as part of the day out.

We have been several times which goes to show how much we love it.
Cannot beat a steam train ride through beautiful countryside.
We also had a late breakfast at the station cafe in Bridgnorth which was lovely. Can recommend the Engine house too where locomotives that aren't being used are housed.

The Severn Valley Railway railway is a fantastic day out for young and old alike. You can buy a ticket that is tailored to what you want to explore along the railway, stopping off at different stations on your journey. As well as riding on the trains, we visited the museum of steam engines and had lunch at a local pub. It was a great day out. The people who run the railway are helpful and informative, sharing their love of the world of steam engines.

We caught the steam train from Bewdley to Bridgnorth on Saturday morning, it wasn't over busy that we couldn't.get a seat. It was lovey stopping at all the other stations and seeing how well cared for they are. Each one was individually designed, and you could see how well loved they are. All the staff are so friendly and.helpful

We booked the day trip ticket which allowed us to travel up and down the track as much as we liked. All of the stations were clean and well kept, the staff were friendly and helpful. The Engine House at Highley was a nice place to break for lunch with lots of engines on display plus a fantastic display of Lego sea animals. We also stopped at Arley and walked up to the arboretum which was worth the visit

Despite the awful weather, there was still plenty to see and do. Staff were friendly & helpful. All areas were clean & tidy. Catering outlets offered good range & food was good quality. Will definitely return - hopefully in better weather !

An excellent day out although the weather was awful. The Engine House and the restaurant were most welcoming. My wife particularly liked the DMU.
