The gardens are a delight but they made more delightful by the wonderfully exotic brickwork of the walls and towers that are all 'home-made. Well worth a couple of hours, particularly when the sun is shining

Packed with plants in a series of "rooms" some very unusual and rare e.g. Illicium henryi and Neolitsea sericea. The walls are used to maximum benefit to train plants and the garden has a great feeling of calm and maturity.

A small but beautiful garden. Visited with my mother and was made very welcome by the owner. The herbaceous borders are stunning, such inspirational planting and wonderful colours. Will definitely visit again.

This garden is obviously past its sell-by date. Things were very run down and the garden very untidy. There were some lovely plants there but they were obviuosly not cared for. It was not worth the £4 's entry fee and looks nothing like the...More

Stone House Cottage Garden is a marvel! It is a wonderfully cultivated and cared for idyll well worth the drive from Nottingham. An incredible range of plants and a great place to search for inspiration if you are a budding gardener or enthusiastic weeder!

There's walls made from re claimed bricks that go's for miles with towers arches & gates to other worlds. All built by an eccentric & it shows. Well worth a wander.

I charge £4.00 per person. I am afraid that I do not have any refreshments - but there is a hotel (Stone Manor) just over the road from here. Best wishes
