Enjoyable walking in large traditional park. The lake is a delight. And waterside Tea & Coffee rooms in 'fifties' style. Ideal for couple of hours relaxing exercise.

Lovely park, well maintained and lots to see and do. Farm, animals, cafe, different play areas, boating lake and acres of glass to play on. Normally a fair of something going on and ice cream vans dotted about the place. Free entry to the park and farm with plenty of picnic spots. Well worth a visit!

Heaton Park is huge with some lovely picnic spots, if you go off the beaten track there are some really nice secluded areas where you can pretty much have a small section of field to yourself. As well as the secluded areas there is also a small farm area with peacocks, goats, pigs and chickens, a cafe next to a... More

I do not live near this park but I walk round this park most weekends because it has everything .. toilets, good cafes, great pathways for walking or cycling, hills and woods. Parking can be a problem on a busy day though,

The lawns and garden areas are beautiful and well kept. There is quite an abundance of wild life. It houses a working stables and has a farm area which is wonderful for... More
