Was recommended by our son, we were not disappointed. Excellent food, attentive staff,cosy surroundings and also, not that it mattered very reasonabley priced.
Oh, forgot to mention great Ale. We will be back.
2 of us dined there on wed 7th feb,ordered cheese pie..non left,then ordered chicken satay..no satay,then ordered bangers and mash..sausagesw eren`t cooked properly...Didn't offer to refundmoney for bangers and mash,very poor wouldn't recommend this place.
Went for dinner have always had lovely food but tonight however not brilliant since Chris and Christine have left the atmosphere and friendly atmosphere seems to missing, food not the usual standard and was served cold. Would think twice before eating there againMore

I'm sorry your visit wasn't up to the usual standard.
As all three chefs & the vast majority of front of house staff have remained at the pub since the previous owners departure, I am a little bewildered by your negative experience.
We've always seen this as the local pub serving the best food near my Dad's place. Though options are always a bit limited for me as am allergic to dairy and eggs, I've always found something good on the menu. Today we felt badly let...More
Called in for a quick meal on a cold damp Monday night and was not disappointed . The food was well cooked and delicious. The waitresses were pleasant and helpful . I really enjoyed my meal and look forward to going again .More
