Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely but not pram friendly, lovely views and walk it in no way pram friendly bumpy paths, wish I took my baby carrier. I had to turn back with baby and leave rest of family to carry on the walk after only 10 mins. I've given it 4 as it is a lovely place and walk but don't bother with a pram

Beautiful countryside with a stunning waterfall! The walk was lovely, up the hill and around to the waterfall. Breathtaking views!

Lovely walk. Some areas on the longer walk quite tricky I would advise walking/ waterproof footwear. Really enjoyable and picturesque walk. Toilets at the car park. Warning the car park soon fills up. Ice cream van at the car park. Currently building work being undertaken so the short walk which is all paved is closed.

Great place for a good walk near Manchester. Parking can be a bit troublesome so I recommend parking in a nearby town and adding a bit more of a walk to your visit.

One of my favourite places to visit, the normal route is great for a leisurely stroll however if you know the area you can really go off and explore and do a decent hike.

The scenery is great, although hot periods mean this place becomes a popular spot so avoid as it turns into an over crowded beauty spot.

Lovely walk took just over an hour. Lots of picnic spots and shaded areas. Went on a Saturday and still found it fairly quiet.

Been here literally hundreds of times and never get tired of it. Today was absolute bliss, lovely weather, not too busy, just ideal when you want to get away from it all. There's enough diversions from the main path if you want to avoid people completely, and there's always the options to go off into the hills as well. Whilst we didn't avail ourselves today, there was an appealing looking hot food van in the car park, and an ice cream van which we did use!

The scenery and walks are amazing including the picnic area. However what let's it down terribly and definitely stops me from going again is the toilet facilities they shut at 5.30 however on the day I was there they shut at 5 not everyone has perfect bladder control and consequently I had to go round the back of the toilets the smell was awful obviously I wasn't the only one this needs rectifying before I would go back try charging to use the toilets

Just love this place, we walk hear at least once a week with our dog, we only do the lower walks round the reservoirs and we go early midweek when it is quiet. It can get very busy but being retired we can choose when we go. On still days the scenes are just beautiful, the are is well maintained and clean. You can be out all day, picnic area and nice seating around the walk to tak in excellent view points.
