The church is quite small and relatively plain on the outside, a stark contrast to the interior which is really quite fine and elaborate, there is a Cefe on site which serves 'proper' snacks at reasonable prices. nice place to spend a couple of hours discovering its past and its mysteries.

A rather plain looking church from the outside. A interesting church on the inside, with traditional dark brown pews on the inside of the church, with stations of the cross around the inside of the church. A number of statues of various saints, a limited amount of stained glass windows. It is confusing as this church seems to be a... More

Very difficult to describe a church. Well preserved. Take a step back into the past and the future. Lots of public transport.

The church itself needs money spending in it - sad, as in terms of the architecture and interior it could look a whole lot better. This is an Anglican-Catholic church and there are still services held on a regular basis.

This is a wonderful parish community which has so much to offer for the whole community in Hazel Grove. There is an excellent parish priest who is supported by an enthusiastic and welcoming group of local residents who make everyone welcome.

Stockport is a place of two halves. Higher and lower. Old and new. Higher mid and lower hill gate. In all fairness it's no mcr but hey. St. Peter's church is an easy to get to/ get away from the minor hubbub to have a mooch and a coffee. Good for a rainy day, non formularised brew and sarnie. try?

I have on a number of occasions walked around the church . Went again last Saturday and was so fortunate to go inside. I grew up in the area and cannot think of many surviving churches of this era. It has a fabulous feeling of history and spirituality.

The church is open for snacks and lunches Tues-Friday and is very welcoming. Inside are some fine Belgian stained glass windows. The surroundings have been much improved in recent years.

seeing this Church again reminds me of the many visits for Sunday Mass in the early 70's Trained as a midwife in Stepping Hill Hospital and it was lovely to have the Church nearby. Really lovely and peaceful church.
